About MEDUSA

Get answers about MEDUSA Smart Disinfectant Protection. Learn about 10-day germ protection, alcohol-free formulas, certifications, surface safety, and how MEDUSA compares to standard disinfectants

MEDUSA is a next-generation disinfectant range that kills 99.99% of bacteria, viruses, and fungi on contact and continues protecting treated surfaces for up to 10 days after a single application. Available in alcohol-based and alcohol-free formulations as sprays, wipes, and bulk solutions, MEDUSA is designed for both professional and household use. It is manufactured by CS Interpharm General Trading L.L.C., part of the international CS Group, headquartered in Dubai, UAE.

Standard disinfectants kill germs only at the moment of application — once the liquid dries, the surface is unprotected and can be recontaminated within minutes. MEDUSA creates an invisible antimicrobial shield that remains active on the surface for up to 10 days, continuously killing germs long after application. This means fewer applications, lower costs, less chemical exposure, and consistently protected surfaces between cleanings.

MEDUSA is produced by CS Interpharm General Trading L.L.C., part of the international CS Group. The company is headquartered at Bay Square Building 2, Office 809-816, Business Bay, Dubai, UAE. MEDUSA products are currently available in the UAE and across Europe, with a US market launch planned for 2026 pending EPA approval.

How MEDUSA Works

Get answers about MEDUSA's invisible antimicrobial shield, the 10-day protection window, the pathogens it kills, and how to apply it correctly so the layer actually bonds.

When MEDUSA is applied to a surface, it forms an invisible antimicrobial layer that bonds to the surface. This layer continues to actively eliminate bacteria, viruses, and fungi on contact for up to 10 days. Unlike conventional disinfectants that evaporate and stop working within minutes, MEDUSA’s protective barrier remains effective through normal use, including light cleaning and everyday contact.

MEDUSA is lab-tested and proven effective against a wide range of harmful pathogens including: Staphylococcus aureus (a common cause of skin infections and hospital-acquired infections), Escherichia coli (E. coli), Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Enterococcus hirae, Candida albicans (a fungal pathogen), SARS-CoV-2 family viruses (the virus responsible for COVID-19), and Influenza viruses. It eliminates 99.99% of these organisms on contact.

Yes. MEDUSA has been tested and proven effective against SARS-CoV-2 family viruses, which cause COVID-19. It also works against other enveloped and non-enveloped viruses, providing broad-spectrum antiviral protection.

Hold the spray bottle approximately 15–20 cm from the surface. Spray evenly across the entire area you want to protect. Allow the surface to air dry completely — do not wipe immediately after spraying. The air-drying process is when the protective antimicrobial layer forms on the surface. Once dry, the surface is protected for up to 10 days.

The antimicrobial layer is designed to withstand light, everyday cleaning and regular surface contact. However, using abrasive cleaners, harsh solvents, or heavy-duty scrubbing may reduce the longevity of the protective layer. For best results, clean with mild soap and water between MEDUSA reapplications.

No. All MEDUSA products are ready-to-use formulations. No mixing, dilution, or preparation is needed. Simply spray directly onto the surface or use the wipes as-is.

Safety & Ingredients

Get answers about what's in the formula, what isn't, and why MEDUSA stays safe around children, pets, food preparation surfaces, and sensitive environments.

Yes. When used as directed and allowed to dry fully, MEDUSA-treated surfaces are safe for environments with children. The alcohol-free formulation is specifically designed for sensitive settings like nurseries, schools, and homes with young children. As with any disinfectant, keep the product itself out of reach of children and avoid direct spraying onto skin or near eyes.

Yes. Once applied and fully dried, MEDUSA-treated surfaces pose no risk to household pets. The alcohol-free formula contains no harsh chemical residues. Do not spray directly onto animals, and keep pets away from surfaces during the application and drying process.

Both formulas kill 99.99% of germs and provide up to 10 days of surface protection. The alcohol-based formula offers rapid evaporation and instant germ-killing action, making it ideal for healthcare settings and environments where fast turnaround is needed. The alcohol-free formula is designed for sensitive environments, schools, childcare centres, homes with children and pets, and food preparation areas  where alcohol-based products may be restricted or less suitable.

MEDUSA is formulated with a low-VOC (volatile organic compound) formula, meaning it releases significantly fewer harmful airborne chemicals compared to conventional disinfectants. It is designed to be effective against pathogens while maintaining a strong safety profile for humans and the environment.

Yes. The alcohol-free formulation is suitable for kitchen counters and food preparation areas. Apply the product, allow it to dry fully, and the surface is safe for food contact. The alcohol-based formula can also be used on kitchen surfaces; simply ensure it has fully evaporated before placing food on the treated area.

The alcohol-based formula is flammable due to its alcohol content. Store it away from heat sources, open flames, and direct sunlight. Follow all safety guidelines printed on the product label. The alcohol-free formula is not flammable.

Certifications & Testing

Get answers about BS EN 1276:2019 efficacy, lab-verified kill data against key pathogens, the EPA pathway for US entry, and the low-VOC credentials behind the formula.

Yes. MEDUSA is tested in internationally accredited laboratories and meets BS EN 1276:2019 standards for antimicrobial efficacy. BS EN 1276 is a widely recognised European standard that evaluates the bactericidal activity of chemical disinfectants and antiseptics.

BS EN 1276:2019 is a European testing standard for chemical disinfectants. It specifies a method for evaluating the bactericidal activity of disinfectants under specific conditions. Products that meet this standard have demonstrated the ability to kill bacteria within a defined contact time. MEDUSA’s compliance with this standard confirms its efficacy against key bacterial pathogens.

MEDUSA is currently seeking EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) approval for the US market, with a planned launch in 2026. The product is already available in the UAE and Europe, where it meets applicable regulatory and testing standards.

Yes. MEDUSA is formulated with a low-VOC (low volatile organic compound) formula that reduces airborne chemical emissions compared to conventional disinfectants. The product range also includes refillable wipes buckets and canisters with eco-friendly refill pouches that use up to 80% less plastic than buying new containers. The reduced reapplication frequency (once every 10 days vs multiple times daily) also means less overall chemical usage and less packaging waste over time.

For Businesses & Institutions

Get answers about how hospitals, hotels, gyms, and high-traffic facilities use MEDUSA to cut disinfection labour, reduce product spend, and stay protected between cleans.

Yes. MEDUSA is formulated for professional healthcare environments and is effective against key hospital-acquired infection pathogens including Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and E. coli. The 10-day protection significantly reduces the frequency of disinfection protocols, saving healthcare facilities time, labour, and product costs while maintaining continuous surface hygiene between routine cleanings.

Yes. MEDUSA is ideal for hotels, resorts, and serviced apartments. The 10-day protection means rooms treated during turnover remain protected throughout a guest’s stay. High-touch surfaces like door handles, remote controls, bathroom fixtures, and desks stay hygienically protected, reducing the risk of complaints and enhancing guest confidence in your property’s cleanliness.

Traditional disinfectants require multiple daily applications because they stop working as soon as they dry. MEDUSA’s 10-day lasting protection means dramatically fewer applications, which directly reduces three major costs: product consumption (you use less disinfectant overall), labour time (staff spend less time on disinfection routines), and operational disruption (surfaces don’t need to be taken out of service for repeated cleaning).

No. MEDUSA is a ready-to-use product with straightforward application spray and allow to air dry. No special equipment, protective gear, or training is required for standard surface application. Clear usage instructions are printed on every product label.

Yes. MEDUSA is actively seeking distribution partners internationally. If you are interested in distributing MEDUSA products in your region, contact the sales team through the official website at medusa-sdp.com/en/contact-us/ or reach out directly for partnership and wholesale pricing details.
